Hi, Just for information, I found a pop3 proxy (perdition is its name) which can receive imap or pop3-ssl/tls or simple pop3 and send queries over pop3-sll/tls or pop3. It can be a good solution to use it if your mail stands stands on an untrusted network and listens to pop3-ssl/tls or imap-ssl/tls without any appearing change for the end users. http://www.nl.vergenet.net/linux/perdition/ Florent #->-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- #-> #->Monday, August 27, 2001, 4:49:58 PM, you wrote: #-> #->> Hi, #-> #-> #->> Have anyone already built a pop3s solution with vpopmail? #-> #->Yes, stunnel works fine with it. #-> #-> #->> What is requeried on the client side for pop3s to work? #-> #->Either an SSL compatible mail client (surprisingly Outlook and #->Netscape #->are among the few that support it) or an SSL wrapper (I for myself #->use #->the Win32 port of stunnel as local proxy to my The Bat installation #->but others should work too). Essentially, you simply need to get the #->POP #->client speak POP over SSL and you're set. #-> #-> #->Best regards, #-> Gabriel #-> #->-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- #->Version: PGP 6.5i #-> #->iQEVAwUBO4qSicZa2WpymlDxAQGkwQf8CcsrJZPS20qtEcgLA6wGN84aGc9gXbpP #->zNHlDV+jGs2hV2LMtxhRWAD35Z/ZS4rgr0zVIxlHa9M3Vc7ojgpgM5v8LgVvosxR #->OuVVEqwMRr2bMS6D+vdeCfERomZ0dVCFotpx48NHlLzSwhjClk1JsPCKi3JVm/Kf #->WyZf7NYLGqVyMUANghFZg/9kCEWczZ2wWeeC8KVf04tcC8UL4Db1M9CGZnxzgO16 #->ERVnL8h+tsEuYiTIkBEeXrvYfz5HzW39wcqV9YYEvSR8683e9x66/w+TXWiLuS0R #->OZAzLsJc2pW7v7lkRxAfihUQL10UOfcPKpLSza7PVvqQBpbvfr9YJA== #->=Ia6r #->-----END PGP SIGNATURE----- #-> #->
