I have successfuly employed maildrop for mail filtering with the latest dev
relase of vpopmail. yay. However, it still remains a mystery to me how to
filter mail for a domain at the TOP LEVEL, without being forced to use
maildrop as the delivery agent for the entire domain. I would like to see
it work like this:

              (domain) (user) (deliver, or filter if user
configures it)
qmail-smtp -> maildrop -> vdelivermail -> maildrop
                                                   -> /Maildir/

maildrop doesn't know about .qmail aliases, so if I use maildrop to deliver
mail from the domain level they are totally ignored at the user level. i.e.,
once I use maildrop, I have to use it to drop the mail somewhere, it seems.

I have tried passing the mail on to vdelivermail from the maildrop filter,
with something like this:

to "|/var/nfsmnt/mailroot/bin/vdelivermail '' bounce-no-mailbox"

but that causes a "delivery 732: failure: lseek_error_29/lseek_errno=29/"

So, my question is, is it possible to filter mail with maildrop at the top
level of a domain, and continue to use vdelivermail to handle the actually
mail delivery, possibly invoking maildrop again at the user level? If so,
how?
