Thanks - I tried that, but just got different errors.  I finally got
round it by using a nightly du -k on the /domains directory to generate
a text file containing all the paths, which can then be read by the
Control System to locate the mailboxes.  It's been an interesting
debate, though (and I need to upgrade vpopmail!).
