Hello. Yesterday I tried to change all my users from normal /etc/passwd Auth. to the advanced vpopmail authentication. I though this would be great even because later I may use qmailadmin. Altogether this took me about 6 hours or so. Why? The server did not accept messages? Again why? because of a ":deny" line in the tcp.conf. But that was yesterday. I now (and even had it sometimes before) have got the following 2 errors: 1) Could_not_make_user_dirs_(#4.2.2)/home/vpopmail/domains/estephano.de/postmas ter/ 2) Mar 16 12:01:19 wintercom qmail: 984740479.231839 alert: cannot start: qmail-send is already running These are the problem. I may say that I am running a cron job who restarts qmail every hour. Why? Because qmail-send always dies unexpectedly. I dont know why, neither do the logs. The first error might be that I deleted a user's dir and still the account wants to receive email. But I don't knwo exactly. The main problem is: Why does qmail-send die? I hope s.o. can help me. S.
