I had the same problem and followed your conversation. But today it was solved, it don't know how, maybe the deamon user. The tcp.smtp(.cdb), open-smtp(.lock) are in the ~vpopmail/etc/ directory. I also created links from /etc to these files. vpopmail is the owner of all files and vchkpw the group. The permission of all files is -rw-r--r--. If you execute the qmail cdb then the owner of the tcp.smtp.cdb is root, so you have to change it. I'm not sure, but one time I cleared the tcp.smtp.cdb file, maybe it works after that. You should try it. the tcpserver runs under the vpopmail user and vchkpw for pop3 connections. and I think you have to restart the qmail things. I hope it works for you, I know it is very frustrating when all other's qmail is working but yours not. - domi ----- Original Message ----- From: "hari_bhr" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Bill Shupp" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2000 5:32 AM Subject: RE: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowedrcpthosts(#5.7.1) > no > my tcp.smtp in /etc directory > but the open-smtp is in /home/vpopmail/etc/open-smtp > > how do i change this to /etc > so bothe tcp and open-smtp going to be in one directory > > i observed that both got root permissions. > > thanks for the help > we appriciate for co-ordinating to fix this problem > looking forward > > hari > > > > > _________________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com > > > >
