That's a good point.  I've never seen that error before, and I've seen most of the errors you can see :)  Make sure instead of /bin/checkpassword in your qmail-pop3d startup you're instead using /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw.

Is your POP Server startup script (inetd or tcpserver?) still using
checkpassword, or is it using vpopmail?  Because sqwebmail doesn't
authentication via the POP server, this could explain it..
