Have anyone noticed a major password file problem that is occuring with
the Vpopmail 4.9 and beyond? It seems of late that over a period of time
by random uses, the vpassword files seems to disappear or some of the user
accounts entries in the file itself disappear.
This problem did not happens with the 4.8.5 version when I last used it
but when I upgraded it to 4.9.0, boy...did it all starts. And I have to
manually rebuild those missing vpassword files and some cases, some of the
domains itself.
Ken... is this the result of the locking code or something? Since I am
asking is that this is occuring on all three servers I manage and this have
not happened til I upgraded it to the latest version you had released. If
you are wondering, on two servers, there is about 1000 domains on each
one...with the last server handling over 3,387 domains at my last count.
So... I hope the fix you are going to release will fix this quickly, since
I am not sure if I want to use your development version to put it into
operation or not, or go back to previous version, if I can find it.
