Well, although I prefer forums to mailing-lists anytime, it seems many users like the mailing-list.
Since it has no "downside", maybe it could be kept... (Oracle won't win anything from closing this mailing-list) As for integration: Maybe there is a way to integrate between the two, so that posts that users posting to mailing-list will be automatically posted in the forum and vice-versa.
