Is VirtualBox supported on WindowsXP 64 bit?

Hi,I'm using the latest installable bundle (from vb download page) virtualBox
3.0.4-50677-Win.exe (case ignored) to install on aWindows XP 64 Bit edition -
HostMy guest is - Ubuntu Junty While doing installation of VirtualBox, I made
sure that, network module is installed. Here are the problems I face in a
day-2-day environment..i) I'm not able to create Network Host Interface. My
Host is having a GigaBit nic card and is connected to a LAN.
When I goto VM preferences / network tab I'm not able to add a new Host
Interface. That plus icon is avaialble for click. When clicked on that, it
says a message that - "Failed to create a network host interface..." dialog. I
tried reinstalling VirtualBox and tried many times to create host interface.
But no luck.
Right now, it has only NAT and can connect to internet. But, host is not able
to talk guest and vice versa. It (Guest) can talk to other machines in the
network, as guest was set to use DHCP. But the problem is, it's terribly
slow.Any ideas what went wrong or how I correct this.
ii) I've also used the share folder feature of virtual box. In this case, I'm
sharing host/winXP 64bit filesystem folder with Guest Ubuntu / /home/user/ etc.
The access to file system from Guest is terribly slow.I'm not referring to huge
files here. Its just a 1k size file.
Please help me promote virtual box at my workplace. I need to overcome the
above issues. thanks...
