Am running openSUSE 11.1 with VirtualBox 2.2.4 r47978 and also openSUSE 11.2 Milestone6 with VirtualBox 3.0.4_50677_openSUSE111-1. Both VirtualBox rpms came from the Sun website and are the proprietary version for usb support.
Both systems seem to have the same problem with XP Home SP2 as a guest. 11.1 uses IE6 and 11.2 IE 8. When I go to the Microsoft update site they hang waiting for the update home page or occasionally get to the page to check for Activex. They get blank page with either a <se or <me on the screen. Looks like bad html but my wife's XP Home (no Linux or VM) gets to the update page and works. On both I can get to other MS pages and on MS6 system I was able to go directly to the IE download page and download and install IE8. I turned off my AV (AVG) and Spam (AVG) filters on XP. Has anyone seen a problem like this? My XP is a legal copy and trying to register it tells me its already registered. Thanks for any hints on what I can look at or do you think its an MS problem. When I was running VBox 2.2 it worked on 11.1. Thanks! _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
