Well, host-only should work. Configure a host-only network interface in the global settings and don't forget to active the DHCP server for that network interface. Then add a network adapter to your VM and connect it to the host-only if. Your guest should now boot fine and recognize the network adapter and you can access your host files through this network adapter. Kind regards, Frank -- Dr.-Ing.
