My Host machine is Windows 32 bit Vista . The machines has three network
interfaces: the wireless nic, the LAN broadcom nic, and the Microsoft
loopback interface. I manually installed the Microsoft loopback interface.

My Guest machine is Linux debian 32bit. I have given it two network
interfaces. nic1 "eth0" is attached to the NAT interface I made , Adaptor 1
, in Virtualbox. This works fine, I use eth0 as my default gateway inside
of my linux guest OS, I can reach the Internet from the guest OS fine.

I would like to reach the Host from the Guest and from the Guest to the Host
with SSH and Samba.

In virtualbox I have configured for the host Adaptor 2, I have made this a
Host type, and attached it to the Microsoft Loopback interface (my other two
choices were the wireless nic and the LAN nic) . in the Guest, I have eth1
up.

I want to reach the Host fromthe Guest.

- how should I configure the network and netmask of eth1 in the guest?

- how should I configure the loopback interface in the Vista Host? Should I
give it an ip and netmask ?

thanks
