Hello! Today I installed a Debian Linux (Etch) with VirtualBox and used it in headless mode. The NIC is setup as a "Host Interface".
At first, all works fine. But after I shut down the machine with VBoxManage controlvm $VM_NAME acpipowerbutton and start it again, the network interface is no longer working. It appears in the system (ifconfig) but no packets get through it. The only thing that helps is to reload the VirtualBox kernel module after the shutdown. Does anyone know if this is a bug or what I can do to prevent this? TIA Stephan
