Hi
Using valgrind to detect the problem, I see many messages like this:

==4513== Warning: invalid file descriptor 4546 in syscall close()
==4513== Warning: invalid file descriptor 4567 in syscall close()
==4513== Warning: invalid file descriptor 4567 in syscall close()

==4513==  If you believe this happened as a result of a stack
==4513==  overflow in your program's main thread (unlikely but
==4513==  possible), you can try to increase the size of the
==4513==  main thread stack using the --main-stacksize= flag.
==4513==  The main thread stack size used in this run was 8388608.

I have defined two macros like this:
FILE *f;
#define OPEN_LOG     f = fopen("log.txt", "a+")
#define CLOSE_LOG    fclose(f)

The line where segmentation fault occurred (fetch.c:275) is:

CLOSE_LOG

I searched a lot to find out what does "invalid file descriptor N
 in syscall close" mean but didn't find anything clear.

Any comment? thanks
