My feedback would be to rewrite all uses of "e.g." and the associated 
parentheticals. Follow-up sentences will do.

Then, I would match any mention of "web browsers" with examples of 
implementations that do things another way. I suspect this approach might make 
for difficult writing, because I don't think anyone diverges from the browser 
approach. If I'm wrong here, I'd be happy to see it documented.

I do not like this idea.  If it is necessary, then we should have a sentence 
near the beginning that says something like “For clarity and ease of 
understanding, examples are generally represented using Web browser behavior.”  
Just like we say “TLS users the words client and server,” at the end of 1.5 
(terminology).

HOWEVER, unless someone has specific deployed examples, I do not think we 
should make any such change.
