I guess a %mathjax interpreter which does the %angular and %md work is
what you are looking for.
This drives us back to the "Discussion about Zeppelin Interpreters
maintenance" [1] where no conclusion has been drawn on the
zeppelin-extras or zeppelin-contrib (whatever name you give).

is there any lesson learnt? may be we can have something build as an
extension to markdown4j otherwise people will have to mix %md with angular ?

Hi
I am not sure mardown4j which seems to be used in Zeppelin
does support mathematical expression.
You might want to try angular + http://www.mathjax.org/
Cheers

I get the same problem with trying to add code
notation like ''' in markdown
Is this a problem of the md interpreter?

I am new to Zeppelin. I tried to enter some math
formula under
%md
$$x = {-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}$$
It did not work, I got the same text, "$$x = {-b
\pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}$$", Should I do
this differently?
