Vladimir, Thank you for responding. We really appreciate it.
We are inquiring as to whether Zeppelin would work if we deployed it in an IPv6 environment. Due to resource constraints, we are unable to procure an appropriate environment for testing. Because of various bureaucratic restrictions that are beyond my groups ability to influence, we cannot deploy Zeppelin, a very much needed resource, into our system unless we have some sort of guarantee that it will work if the system is transferred to an IPv6 architecture. There is no documentation that we can find on the web or in the Zeppelin documents, board conversations or Gitlab pull requests that discuss the functionality of the system using IPv6. (This functionality would consist of both servers and clients using IPv6 addresses). While most apache systems seem to use IPv6 natively, this was not considered a sufficient level of ‘guarantee’ by the board. The best outcome would be someone with appropriate authority attesting that “Yes, it works!” to bring back to the board. Otherwise, anecdotal experience with it may be enough if this is not possible. The board is used to dealing with commercial software, where this type of documentation is easy to acquire from salespeople. Since Zeppelin does not have a clear sales representative, we are trying to find a work-around or someone who can appropriately substitute in that role. Another possibility is that the documentation is updated to discuss use of Zeppelin in an IPv6 environment John Helmsen Data Science Senior Manager Automated Analytics Division [signature_1002916469] Noblis | for the best of reasons 2002 Edmund Halley Drive | Reston, VA 20191<webextlink://2002%20Edmund%20Halley%20Drive%20|%20Reston,%20VA%2020191> | noblis.org<http://www.noblis.org/> tel: 703.610.2004| cell: 240.899.5676 | john.helm...@noblis.org<mailto:john.helm...@noblis.org>
