I advise you not to use the style tag in HTML (or WIKI code for that matter) - only as a last resort. It is good practice to separate structure from presentation. W3C made a rather comprehensive explanation on this, see link below.

It may seem like a little cumbersome now, but it will help you in the end.

hum IMO we must add an exemple with style too. Why? because on syntax page I'm pretty sur 
everyone use Ctrl+F: "style" (search feature in web browser) and next to find 
the correct syntax.
