Pascal, Just to add my perspective of stats extension, after to install Piwik I rarely visit the stat page. Piwik offer almost all information about my XWiki site. There are missing information, like, who is the top editor, etc. However, all these stats can be showed through Piwik if you customize it.
IMHO I think that XWiki should develop a Piwik plugin instead of to continue develop and improve the stat extension. Danilo Grupo Energisa Danilo A.
