Hey all,

I think what Carlos is saying is that a simple addition of a group or user to a
page's access rights totally overrides the space's access rights. This is only
a problem I assume when there is a large number of groups and users who have
access rights to the space, requiring users to reselect all of those groups and
users again on the page access rights when the goal was just to add a viewing
right, for example, for a user jsmith.

I think a checkbox "Inherit space rights" will allow the user to automatically
inherit the space rights AS WELL AS add his own rights to that page,
eliminating the overhead necessary for users to reselect all of the rights for
a page. Is there a feature request list that Carlos could maybe add this to?

Regards

Felix

I think that is the way it works now.
In order for a user or group to view a page they must be allowed the permission
either in the page, space, or wiki.
Permissions for the page take precedent over permissions for the space and
space permissions
take precedent over wiki wide permissions so allowence for the space is
overridden by denial
for the page.
Is that what you were asking about? If I was off base maybe you can give your
specific problem.
