Is this an Apache Tomcat problem, or a JBoss problem? If it is a Tomcat version, is it from a repackager or an official http://tomcat.apache.org/?
In a new email thread with a descriptive subject provide the Apache HTTPD, mod_jk, Apache Tomcat, JDK and Operating System versions. Then you will likely be asked for logs on both your HTTPD, mod_jk and tomcat sides. I think if you did that, you might get some help.
