Are you installing from scratch? If so, I would recommend Tomcat 6.0.29, or even Tomcat 7 if you're willing to live on the edge. > , but I am getting > Malware detection by Avira. > Before reporting this problem to Avira, I would like to confirm if something > not suspicious in tomcat package. This is a bug logged against Tomcat 6.0.x, but it could be the same problem in Tomcat 5.5.31: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=49674 You should be able to simply delete this file (commons-daemon-native.tar.gz): you are not likely to be using the file. If you want to keep the file, but remove the warnings, try opening the file in an archiver and removing "*.o" from the contents. You may have to look deep in subdirectories to find them all. - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAky3JlUACgkQ9CaO5/Lv0PBS4gCfRTmniwyZ/8IzUTXlSknPhJ99 7bkAoKflv48suHcgMJg0l0t+Auz6Cp4L =kwXV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@tomcat.apache.org
