The term "standard install" is ambiguous.  For most of us on the mailing list, 
that would mean one downloaded from tomcat.apache.org; in your case it might 
mean one installed via whatever package manager Ubuntu uses - which is a 
3rd-party repackaged version of Tomcat, and decidedly non-standard in terms of 
file placement and configuration.
