I entered the following line <user name="ad" password="pw" roles="admin,manager" /> in tomcat-users.xm file. I can login to the admin http://localhost:8080/admin/ and application manager http://localhost:8080/manager/html
I would like to give some test application users ability to start & restart the tomcat server but not the entire admin / manager interface. Is it possible to configure this? I am told that when the application (jsp/servelet code) changes, tomcat has to restart to clear the old cache. Is it true? My tomcat version is 5.5.23 thanks, vm On Fri, May 7, 2010 at 9:59 AM, Caldarale, Charles R < chuck.caldar...@unisys.com> wrote: > > From: testwreq wreq [mailto:testw...@gmail.com] > > Subject: tomcat administration > > > > I have a new installation of tomcat on centos.
