While it's tough to actually crash Tomcat (that is, cause Tomcat to shutdown prematurely and/or cause a fatal exception), there are ways to render a Tomcat instance inert: recently a member of the community actually encountered a (known) bug in the APR connector that could, under certain circumstances, make the acceptor thread think that no request handler threads were available even when all were available. That's not a crash per se, but the effect is the same: the webapp/s is/are unreachable. - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkve1aYACgkQ9CaO5/Lv0PAUxQCfQk8r8KZy6cuUmjMZrvGhl2Er JwAAn1tPJkdmLXuL2s2Y+/T+g91aKew1 =9PI6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@tomcat.apache.org
