Since you're using a non-standard version of Tomcat, the instructions on the Tomcat web site might not correspond exactly with the CentOS distribution. Regardless, start here: http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/index.html Note that the version of Tomcat you've chosen to use is three years old, and several fixes for a variety of problems (including security) have gone in since then.
