Hmm... the iPhone build of Safari definitely supports cookies. I haven't
tried disabling cookies on my iPhone and playing with any of my apps:
I'll do that and let you know if the URL-encoded session ids seem to
have any problems. I'll try to play around with it and an
image-generating servlet or something like that.

I can think of another possible issue: Does your session id cookie have
a domain and/or path that doesn't match the URI you're using for your
images?
