Hi All,
I've got a new server running the latest Centos. I want to install

Should I use tomcat5 installed via yum, or instead use the "original"
version from http://tomcat.apache.org?
You should always use the versions obtained from http://tomcat.apache.org
.
Unless you have some particular reason to use Tomcat 5, you should
install Tomcat 6.
Also, my server currently has OpenJDK1.6. For max. reliability and
least hassles is this the best JVM to use with Tomcat or should I use
the original version from Sun?
Definitely install Sun's Java 1.6.
Thanks,
Fred
