So does running buggy software with unpatched security holes. I'm not saying that Tomcat 4.1 is buggy and/or riddled with security holes, but running anything no longer actively maintained is asking for trouble. Try justifying running a risky application server to your ops team. > If it aint broke don't fix it! You're right: Windows 2000 runs perfectly fine. Why would anyone ever upgrade to a more recent version? UNIX SVr2 wasn't broken, either. New features and continued maintenance causes users to upgrade. - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkrQjb8ACgkQ9CaO5/Lv0PAclgCghPH86/+cAEz7NjRgLLOgXaFE cx0AoKh5EV6VjX/F7wpZqpFfQU26pL1m =kL63 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@tomcat.apache.org
