Will - Based on our empirical testing, the tcnative-1.dll offers noticeable performance improvement. It also offers an improved and probably more secure SSL environment as it incorporates OpenSSL versus the built-in java SSL implementation. If you are using SSL, you will need to alter your SSL connector definition somewhat, but ultimately, it's much easier to implement. We run in standalone mode, so I'm not sure of the performance improvement if you are using only AJP. Jeff
