There are no explicit restrictions on Microsoft Windows for what ports you can use for Tomcat ports. The only practical restriction is that you can't use a port that is already in use. Darren has a suggestion for determining which ports are already in use. It's also a good idea to avoid ports for known services like SMTP, DNS, etc. Most people stick with 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS, since they are the well-known default ports for those protocols. - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAknKL4cACgkQ9CaO5/Lv0PCruQCbBYvR1Q5kn3IOBs1ow1sIY+Vi I6gAn2BmMM6xhdNIHRC/TxNIPIUJc2lb =lIx4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@tomcat.apache.org
