There is quite a lot of overlap but some topics will be covered in more detail in the conference (Filip and Servlet 3.0 for example) In terms of maximum content for minimum time the 2 day tutorial is probably best. If at all possible I would try and attend at least some of the conference as well. It isn't just the other presentations but the opportunity to talk to the presenters and other attendees.
