This describes my issue as well. SuSE 10.3 64-bit, running Apache 2.2.11, Tomcat 6.0.16, APR 1.3.4 and mod_jk/1.2.27. I have downgraded mod_jk to 1.2.24 to see if this makes a difference. Cheers!
