I solved the problem by putting java:/comp/env in the JNDI lookup in the code.
That led me to an exception when I tried to use an ArrayDescriptor. So I tried to change my pooling form dbcp to oracle with: <Resource name="jdbc/GFDataSource" auth="Container" type="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource" factory="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSourceFactory" connectionCachingEnabled="true" maxActive="30" maxIdle="2" maxWait="1000" username="GLP_S" password="gideupstg" driverClassName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@uxsvr3.enetrix.msn:2224:STG9"/> And now I'm back to "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context"! -----Original Message----- From: Hamacher, Eric [mailto:eric_hamac...@gallup.com] Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2009 9:04 AM To: Tomcat Users List Subject: RE: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context Tomcat's -----Original Message----- From: news [mailto:n...@ger.gmane.org] On Behalf Of Stephen Souness Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2009 9:02 AM To: users@tomcat.apache.org Subject: Re: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context Which lib did you put your jars in?
