Thank you for pointing it out. The logs directory as i see it has two types of file. One of the types is "localhost_log.YYYY-MM-DD.txt" which looks like being generated one for each day and updated regularly through out the day where as another one is "catalina.out".
I looked into both the files and wasn't able to tell what wordings were pointing to shutdown and what to startup.
