MySQL does have triggers in MySQL 5.0.2 and upward. A sequence can be implemented using a table with a single AUTOINCREMENT field. Kind of a hack, but if you /require/ Oracle-style sequence behavior, you can get it. I totally agree that some "big boy features" seem to be missing from MySQL. Over the years, they have played quite a good game of catch-up. - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAklvxvgACgkQ9CaO5/Lv0PBmxwCfWDH0u/pU4JhsRICqhs0UCgZR vq4AnRN1oJVRiIwcX05efqqtQUfEMz+o =vHzs -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@tomcat.apache.org
