What do I have to do to debug a bit deeper?
Changing Tomcat log levels from INFO to FINE do not reveal anything in the log 
files.
How can I see the connection status in Windows?
I'm using CurrPorts to look at ports and connections, but all seems ok...

This is a computer bug, it is app related, because I have the shutdown ant HTTP 
freeze symptoms
with a clean unzip of tomcat 6.0.16, without even my app on it.
I think something is bugged in my OS, but I can't tell what is it...
and I don't want to format my disk right now...

That's very strange, and makes it sound like an application error. Do
you have any System.in.read calls in your code or anything like that?
