although JVM comes, with Solaris 10, you need, to set, JAVA_HOME , for that
go to,
open your, /etc/profiles files, ( as a root ), with any editor,
then, add follwing, lines,there

JAVA_HOME=/usr/java
export JAVA_HOME

and save, it, & log out & log in..
