Subject: Does Tomcat5.0 Supports IPV6?
Please let me know if anybody has an idea about tomcat5.0 supporting IPV6
I know Toncat 5.5 does, but if you have IP6 running already, its easy enough
to just check what ports its binding with.... see this article... in fact
the hard part I found was just getting IPV6 set up correctly... then TC does
the rest automatically... ie you wont even know its doing it....
One thing that can catch you is that on IPv6 the localhost address is a very
different to old IP 6... so programs that actually check for 127.0.0.1 will
break... that caught me.

If its running behind Apache... that also works but finding a version of
apache compiled with IPv6 for MS, still seems to be a problem. It even works
if Tomcat is running on IPv6 and Apache is not...
Anyway just check the port binding... at worst you will just need to move to
5.5
Thanks in advance
