Thanks for the help. I hadn't realized that the "server" was encoded as part of the session id. Makes sense. I was planning on implementing an Apache HA solution using Linus-HA clustering when in fact I can probably just load balance requests to 2 active Apache instances as sessions will always get routed properly.
