It shouldn't crash, it's supposed to serialize all the ODBC calls so you can
use it in a multi-threaded program. (ref. the JDBC FAQ:
http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/reference/faqs/index.html
) I've used it in a webapp, for testing during development, with no problems
other than poor performance.

However, in case it is a problem with either the JDBC-ODBC bridge or the
ODBC driver, you could try to find a straight JDBC driver for your database.

Another thing you might check is your code that closes the JDBC connections,
since that's where it seems to be crashing. Maybe you're closing a
connection twice or something?
