I have already extracted the files. Now, where do I place these files (folders)?

Can anyone direct me to how I can extract this file over the old one? I occasionally, receive an error message from my stdout.log file and my https site is down. I have already extracted the jmri file, I just don't know where to put it. Your assistance will be appreciated.
