I've read from the archives that there has not been an MSI installer released for the last several version of the Tomcat JK server connector for IIS because there is not an InstallShield license available to the maintainers.
1. Has anyone attempted to rewrite the installer using the Nullsoft Installer? <http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Docs/> The Nullsoft Installer is both open source and powerful. Hopefully it is capable of handling of the needs for an IIS server connector installer. 2. Is there any documentation of what the InstallShield install does other than what is documented in the "IIS HowTo" page? <http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/webserver_howto/iis.html> If there is community interest in moving the installer program to the Nullsoft platform, I am willing to take a stab at it. Let me know.
