There are 2 bugs (40401 and 38485 ) both dealt with Tomcat ignoring server parameter set in server.xml. Both are marked as either fixed or duplicate of the other one. They are bugged in version 5.5.14 and 5.5.15.
Any idea which version of TC those are fixed in? I am using 5.5.17 and am still seeing the same bug behavior. Took a quick look at 5.5.20 (latest version) and looks like it was not fixed.
