Dude, I think you're totally confused.

You can replace the term "AOL" in all of these messages with "some
crappy ISP that likes to mix things up by randomly reporting the
client's IP".

AOL isn't giving anyone anything like 301, 302, or even 200, 'cause it
ain't the server.
