file is use on tomcat 5.0.28 though application has been stopped and undeployed

Hi all,
I'm using tomcat 5.0.28 locally, and I have an ant job to build and 
deploy an app that I am working on, however I am experiencing problems 
with tomcat locking some of the files, particularly the spring.jar file.

I have experimented with having ant stop the application, and/or 
undeploy the app, and I have tried these processes manually. however the 
only thing that seems to free the file is a tomcat service stop/start.

I noticed that on tomcat 5.5 there is a context configuration parameter 
for |antiJARLocking, but this is not available on tomcat 5.0.28. |Is 
there anything else I can try to prevent the locking?

I am on windows xp prof, with current sp and updates.
