Hypothetically, is the session clustering protocol the same between
different major tomcat versions.
I've never had any problem doing a rolling update for minor versions
without dropping any sessions (we also use parallel deploy).
To be perfectly honest I'm happy doing a full restart and just dropping
sessions when doing a major version update but I do wonder if it would
work if I tried a rolling update.
