Can you show us the whole "configure" and "make" conversation you had with your shell? I've never seen that particular error message before. What architecture is your httpd? The subject of your post says "in 32 bit" but also says the OS is x86-64, which is a 64-bit OS. If you have a 32-bit httpd (which would be odd, in a 64-bit OS), then you'll need to build mod_jk with 32-bit target architecture.
