Can you try again with 8.0.18? I think you may have hit a regression
that has since been fixed.
If you still see the error, open a BZ issue and provide the simplest
steps to reproduce you can (e.g. a JSP to add to Tomcat's examples app).

Thanks for the info, Mark. I will try again with 8.0.18. But I'm
blocked right now and stuck back on TC 7 until I can figure out why TC 8
running out of connections. (See my other post....) Once I figure that
out, I'll move to 8.0.18 or whatever is the latest.
