We had a client complain when they replaced their beefy Sun hardware with commodity Intel-based servers. The Sun hardware also had SSL accelerator hardware which significantly improved SSL performance. Obviously, there should have been no confusion at the time. To answer the OP's question, I know of no particular performance issues with any Linux JVM versus Solaris JVM. - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: GPGTools - http://gpgtools.org Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJS+P7/AAoJEBzwKT+lPKRYCfgQAK19PiyMwO5FznRLglMR6k2V ebStqfI1CEXKipgGc5Y0KLVoAGUNf9twf6XIXYFrQG7/cee1t5eB/D5kZjBg0X4S f/E7y2NDFK0Xfg9rBRGxVttpk/gD129nQCggwB+l9pA5l9swphxbKnHzSAW71T/F r1R9y0glywdf23PrGvTmw63hzp5DBiqFnCFbzHiBYi87IG9Ug1NaxUSDCy6sBeOY QSOmVfQ9tShZh03LhgfhtM01/EQsqNyIw6UtSz+zB9rojPBazyjVlSy4zUnaEFvX qVd2zO+0KSC0Geiv/WQChWnWj/pUfFulZnOE/CLHJVgLjMMuvUY8jdNSiJ4ob3pG p1ZktEEWfzTkAe60d6lzfg3oBFZupRv17JN3cTjaHIPXvOyy5mN+0N3LoJb5eENf u7qi9jqjbQ+hTPOTAG10YQqvnRPOhJn+NbnESYz1inNcylT8pAYazefXGsW7mm4v DyO64IW104g7xrrtjCkO1vBvwfytxtG4stbKOkViiPKUgOQqr6+ptt4SL0TkCqZd JUQIzzFvgd1JWWQl/+go3KtWcNGy0kfThAWaI6sTAitjZyOMI92tIAr4qJEO7+DU WBSyzsKUV5O0QGaeD9NzqqcnIgZ+urM2bczErVzUGi7x39+w0XFVaxbKPO4YPtmH lFGr3xP0hMcQc7prm6n+ =jkwJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@tomcat.apache.org
